Bonjour! Hello!
It's been awhile, non? Life has become hectic.
Grandmere has been going to the doctor alot. Maman said that they diagnosed her with cancer. I am sad, I hope grandmere will be ok. Please think good thoughts and if you pray, pray for her.
I went on my trip to Williamsburg and DC a couple of weeks ago! It was super fun!
Here's the Photostory Maman and me made of Felicity and Elizabeth In Williamsburg.
There's Molly and Emily wandering DC
And there's my day at AGPDC
This is us heading home to drop off Sara and artz_annie at home then to pick up Ivy from Jodybo- who made Ivy all better!
Maman belted us in so we didn't slide while she was driving. It was a long trip! We left Sterling, VA where our hotel was about 9:30. We got to Annie's house about 12-1, then got to Jodybo by 4. From Jodybo to home it was another 3 hours! We were in the car for 10-11 hours that day! Had Maman gone from DC to home door to door it would have been only 5-6 hours. But Annie and Sara wanted to go home, and we couldn't abandon Ivy. Poor Ivy didn't get to travel in style like us. Going up she was in a grocery bag because she had had a mishap with Maman trying to fix her. On the way home, she had no clothes but for a hospital gown so she didn't want pictures taken. It was fun traveling with these sisters of mine. Emily is one of my favorites so it's always nice to be with her. Felicity doesn't travel for a long time well.... she fidgits too much! Elizabeth kept finding things to distract her though. Molly kept playing with Emily or staring off into space. We had alot of fun with Maman though. When she's at home she's super busy! We had her pretty much to ourselves and we got pampered alot. Although I didn't get to go into Williamsburg or tour the city, I did get to go into AGPDC. OMG I have never seen so much PINK! Maman started the day OK, then they started running late. They had reservations to the bistro in the store so I was excited. They had drinks for us because it was so hot! But Annie accidentally told Maman the wrong place and Maman didn't know better. So that made them later. By the time we got there we were over an hour late! Maman and Annie didn't think that they would let us in. Maman went to ask anyway, because asking never hurts. It's a good thing she did too! They let us in! (after waiting our turn of course!) Maman had the pretzel bites with cheese and the mac'n'cheese. She said it was good but that the mac'n'cheese tasted like Velveeta so she wasn't happy about the cost because of that. Annie had her Rebecca with her, but she had BAD hair! Oiy! Even our Rebecca has had better hair days on her worst! lol! So Annie talked to the people there and they said they would try to fix it. When we were about done, we picked up Beckie and she was much better! We wandered the store and Maman grabbed a pair of really cute jeans for me. She STRIPPED me IN PUBLIC! But I got to wear my new jeans right away. Then I picked out my new glasses. I couldn't decide between the "Chocolate glasses" and the "Raspberry glasses", so Maman got both! We also got a new AGP tshirt that says Washington DC on it like my Denver one. (Grandmere went to Denver in June and went and got that for me!) We also got Addy new shoes and we got another outfit for me. They call it the Photographer outfit, though no camera! :( It'd be better if I got a camera. We went to check out and the total was really high! Maman started freaking out. The saleslady went over it and we found out that one of my glasses got marked $90! Maman said it could go back if that was the real price because she could buy 4 pairs for herself for that! The lady apologized and said someone lazy forgot to change it even though they said that they did it the day before we were there. Annie had Sara with her and she had the head of one of her other girls to get their ears pierced. When Annie handed the lady that does that the head she started freaking out telling Annie to leave it hidden in the bag. So funny! After we finished we had to find a pair of pants for Annie's guy. It took 10 stores to find the ones we wanted. Then we went home to our hotel to drop the loot and Sara and I told my sisters about our trip. Later Maman decided to go to the Lincoln memorial and the Jefferson Memorial. We got there so late and walked REALLY far. Sara had gotten the skateboarding outfit (WITH a skateboard I must add) and had brought them with us. When we got to the Jefferson Memorial, she started skateboarding in the memorial. Jefferson would have thought it was cool, I think. We took pictures and Annie taped Sara skateboarding. Sara face-planted alot! Then we walked back to our car which was right next to the Lincoln memorial, but we were so tired! It was 11:30 by the time we headed home. Then we went to bed to get up early the next day to come home. It was a good trip.
Maman has been busy with making clothes for the swap on the forum and for the Etsy shop. I'm not so jealous right now, she's making frilly clothes. Julie is a bit jealous and so are Samantha and Nellie. I'm helping Maman research for her craft swap. It should be fun hearing what the reception is.
Well, I think that's all for now! Après tout crocidile
Salut!
ReplyDeleteAG stores bring a whole new meaning to the term "la vie en rose". ;) I haven't been to one yet, and I probably won't be able to go until the fall. It sounds like you had a fabulous time. Congratulations on your new glasses, by the way!
